Freightos is the online marketplace for the trillion dollar freight industry. With an investor portfolio including GE Ventures and Aleph, $50 million in funding, and a team with a track record of successful exits, the company is transitioning into rapid revenue growth mode.
90% of everything we eat, wear or use is shipped or flown from other countries. But freight sales technology is stuck in the '90s, without automation or transparency. Our cloud-based technology changes that, automating freight pricing and routing at some of the world’s largest logistics providers, as well as tens of thousands of marketplace customers.
We’re not the only ones excited about changing the world. You can read about Freightos in the BBC, TechCrunch, the Wall Street Journal and others.
But moving freight better starts with shipping great design.
As a Van Gogh-level UX designer, you’ll craft (actually, Sketch), the perfect Freightos Marketplace experience, cooperating with our (awesome) product team and other stakeholders throughout the design process—from conducting user research, through crafting user flows and wireframes to building user interface mockups and prototypes. Like Uri Geller (but actually good at it), you’ll anticipate what our users need, advocate for them and ensure that the final product surprises and delights them (like when you find a $20 bill in your pocket). You’ll be passionate about our users and aspire to learn everything you can about their behaviours, attitudes and emotions to help define the products and experiences we create.
Who are you?
You once got off a bus because the ads on it were crappy. Your brain literally explodes when user experience and expectations aren’t aligned (or if pixels aren’t aligned). You’re curious and have signed up to all the latest design thinking forums and newsletters (but think you can make them look prettier). You live and breathe meetups in order to catch up with industry trends and make friends with other design thinkers.
You’re 100% sure that design can bring world peace, or at least solve most of the problems on earth.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Use superhero-level empathy to define the user flows and user interface for new and existing features.
- Conduct user research
- Pull of a Cirque du Soleil juggling feat of both high level and detailed storyboards, mockups, prototypes and designs. Why? Because effectively communicating interactions and design ideas is what you live for.
- Build and destroy regularly, by gauging the usability of new and existing features and making constructive(!) suggestions for change.
- Set a high standard for the team, chase perfection, and be in close relationship with the developers and the other team members.
