Freightos has been earning some frequent flyer miles, attending some of the most important freight shows this month, including CILF in China, Air Cargo & Logistics in Singapore and Intermodal Europe in Hamburg. Pricing our airplane tickets took longer than it would have taken to book our trip in some containers through Freightos but it was probably more comfortable. At every conference we were at, it was immediately apparent that technology has become an inherent part of the freight world, at every step of the supply chain.

Not everyone has gotten on board though. As one astute lecturer at Intermodal Europe said, “the future is already here; it’s just not evenly distributed.” As 3PLs and freight forwarders seek to increase their competitive edge, the boldest and brightest are looking towards making processes more efficient. The ability to quote instantly is a crucial way to rise above competitors. It’s no wonder we came back with so many business cards.

Now that we’re back home, we’re hard at work on programming some new features into Freightos, including customized email reports for sales managers, smarter contract adapters and more.

It’s going to be an exciting month!
