Freightos Global Freight Outlook – June 2024

Ocean freight is facing worsening congestion and spiking rates as Red Sea diversions coincide with an early peak season arrival. Worsening ocean conditions could drive more volumes to air cargo, while the ongoing surge in B2C e-Commerce air cargo volumes – though possibly facing regulatory challenges – is already putting pressure on capacity and rates.

In our June Freight Market Outlook video update, Judah Levine, Freightos’ Head of Research, presents data on these current trends and is joined by Robert Khachatryan, CEO of FreightRight Logistics, to share his insights and projections for the rest of the year.
