After an early start to peak season, ocean rates may have peaked earlier than usual too, and the surge of e-commerce volumes out of China continues to keep air cargo rates elevated during what is meant to be slow season for air logistics.
In this month’s webinar, Judah Levine, Freightos’ Head of Research, presented the latest trends in the international ocean and air freight markets, and shared projections for the rest of the year.
He was joined by Peter Goodman, global economics reporter for The New York Times, and Hagan Walker, CEO of Glo. Peter – author of “How the World Ran Out of Everything,” an exploration of supply chain vulnerabilities exposed during the pandemic – and Hagan, whose company and its challenges importing goods during those years are featured in the book, they shared their perspectives on the latest supply chain disruptions in light of their experiences over the last few years.
